What We Do

Chartered Landscape Architect Services

Run by Chartered Landscape Architect Joss Benatt CMLI  who is a member of the Landscape Institute we provide a range of Landscape Architecture and Garden Design services including landscape design and specification for planning applications, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment and photomontage. We produce landscape design for planning applications for single houses as well as residential schemes, business industrial parks and hotels.

Landscape input is often required for planning applications whether this is in assessing the landscape and visual impact of the proposed development or fulfilling the landscape conditions set out by the local authority. Landscape and visual assessment allows exploration of layout and mitigation measures that can be built into the scheme. The landscape conditions set out by the council usually require producing landscape plans showing planting as  well an accompanying specification and management plans. As a landscape architect with years of experience of this type of work Joss Benatt CMLI is well placed to provide this service.

As well as landscape architecture  we also provide garden design services  and have produced designs for many gardens in the south west, often with an emphasis on naturalistic and sustainable design and working with some of the leading local contemporary architects (see ‘About Us’ Page). Our schemes often include wildflower meadows, orchard planting and wildlife ponds and are responsive to the surrounding landscape and the modern built form.
